Little Rock Port Authority

Wrote U.S. Department of Transportation TIGER (Transportation Investments Generating Economic  Recovery) grant for the Little Rock Port Authority. This $6.2 million application was funded.  The TIGER grant is the most complicated and highly competitive of US DOT grants, requiring, among other things, a high level economic benefit-cost analysis.  As one of the family of Sustainable Communities grants, successful grantees are required to tie together elements regarding safety, economic competitiveness, environmental sustainability, quality of life, and state of good repair. Completing the grant application requires pulling together input from a variety of individuals, data analysis, and telling a compelling story.

LITTLE ROCK PORT AUTHORITY

Wrote U.S. Department of Transportation FASTLANE grant for the Little Rock Port Authority.  This complicated application is similar to the TIGER grant in that it requires a high level benefit-cost analysis, but the emphasis is on getting freight off the nation’s highways in order to reduce congestion, rather than sustainability.  Documents for the FASTLANE application can be found at the link below.
